Mr. García is a professional with more than 35 years of experience in the financial sector. His experience ranges from executive and managerial positions to consultative figures in regulatory bodies and boards of directors of the sector.
Since 2001, Mr. García is Director, Chairman and CEO at Barents Re Reinsurance Company, Inc., an international reinsurance company regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, its subsidiary by the Commissariat aux Assurances of Luxembourg, and more than 20 regulators in Latin American and Europe. Barents Re Reinsurance Company, Inc., is today the first reinsurance company at the Latin American level, and one of the best rated, with a rating of A on an international scale.
It should also be noted that since 2006 Mr. Garcia has participated as director or chief adviser in more than 5 insurance companies at the regional level in their Surety Committees. Mr. García is considered an international specialist in Reinsurance and is regularly interviewed by the media on their analyzes of the sector.
